אחד בראוניס, בבקשה

I take no greater joy than in going to The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and ordering “Echad brownies.” The guy doesn’t even bat an eye. Seriously. Echad brownies. Shnei *brownies’im.*

This section will spotlight a bevy of superfluous pluralization that we see in our daily interaction with Israeli society. “Brownies’im” is one such case, but you’ll find if you listen carefully that Hebrew contains a lot of these redundancies. Here’s one more: bourekas’im.

As a proud Israeli, let me tell you something, sorry!!
sorry,we didn’t have hundreds of years to evolve our language.
The ancient hebrew used un the holly bible lacks words for modern uses and appliances.
As a people that was exiled for two thousand years we took words from our surroundings.
For every word today there is a hebrew name, brownies in Hebrew are:chumiut.

P.s why don’t you moke at the Germans for using the word “ganev”‘ for a thief it’s a hebrew word!!!
    stop being such hypocrites

  3. Jacob says:

The reason why we don’t moke the Germans is because this is a blog about Israelis, and, believe it or not, we are all proud Israelis.
